Vercel Hobby (free tier) Terms of Service prohibit commercial use. If your OPC product has any revenue (ads, subscriptions, sales), you must upgrade to Pro ($20/month). Many overlook this clause — being audited can result in service suspension.
Vercel created Next.js and deeply optimized its experience on Vercel. But ISR, Middleware, Image Optimization, and other Next.js features may not work or may underperform on other platforms. If you don't want to be locked into Vercel, test deployment on your target platform from day one.
Hobby tier: 10s max execution / Pro: 15s-60s / Enterprise: adjustable. For long-running computations (PDF generation, AI inference, large batch data processing), Vercel Functions may time out. Consider Edge Functions (faster but more limited) or offloading heavy compute to Railway/Koyeb.
100GB bandwidth is extremely ample for pure text/API responses (millions of requests/month), but if your site has many images or videos, 100GB can be exhausted after just a few thousand page views. Enable Vercel Image Optimization to significantly reduce image bandwidth consumption.
Cloudflare Pages free tier has no commercial use restrictions and offers unlimited bandwidth (within reasonable use). If your OPC product is a static site or uses Workers, Cloudflare Pages may be a more compliant free option than Vercel Hobby.
